3D皮肤层替换了通常为平面的玩家皮肤第二层，其中使用3D建模的版本。当玩家距离超过12个方块时，会自动切换回基础的2D渲染以提高帧率。同时，该模组还支持像眼镜等物品上的透明部分！
由于该模组纯粹是视觉效果，完全在客户端运行，因此无需在服务器上安装，可以在任何地方使用！
