Snekcraft添加了球头蟒和西部猪鼻蛇，有多种颜色和图案变种可通过繁殖获得。成为一名蛇饲养员，利用你对蛇类遗传学的了解，来培育出最漂亮的蛇！它们目前功能不多，但绝对非常可爱 :)

繁殖
蛇类可通过喂食生鸡肉或兔子来进行繁殖，若周围有足够的空间，它们将产卵孵化，类似于海龟蛋，但速度更快。蛋只会孵化在沙子或泥土上，并且目前捡起后不会保留基因。在野外只会找到基本的“野生型”颜色和图案；其他变种必须通过繁殖获取。

在野外只会出现野生型蛇，即“正常色”。两只正常色的蛇繁殖通常会产生更多的正常色，但也有一小概率产生基因的机会。所有基因要么是显性、共显性或隐性。显性基因总是会展现出来，而隐性基因只有在没有显性基因的情况下展现出来。 共显性基因将与显性或隐性基因结合，制造出新的东西，或者如果与另一个共显性基因结合，那将尤为明显。 为了降低复杂性，蛇类无法繁殖成“拥有一个显性基因和一个不会在外表上展示但会影响繁殖的隐性基因”的状态，但所有的正常色可以与拥有基础基因的蛇一样被繁殖。尝试结合和繁殖来揭开游戏中各种基因的秘密，以及它们能结合产生什么！
注意：彩虹色是另一回事。只有做最后的基因杂交的机会才能获得它！

额外物品
此外还增加了不同的玻璃箱，用以安置蛇类（和其他生物），比如铁丝笼、玻璃箱、水族馆和岩浆箱。使用玻璃箱钥匙可以改变任何类型的玻璃箱的外墙坚固性（当持有钥匙时非实心外墙将只有轮廓线可见）。相邻的不同类型的玻璃箱可以一起使用。3x3x1大小的玻璃箱效果更佳。 使用不同类型的藏身处和热灯来让你的蛇更快乐！要在笼子内放置藏身之类的装饰物，先移除外墙块，放置藏身处，然后使用箱子钥匙关闭周围的墙。蛇袋可用于捡起和运输蛇。
蛇有时会脱皮，脱下的皮可以用来制作蛇袋或者甲板，还有毒牙，可以制成骨粉，但可能在未来更新中变得更有用！
